Rave Guardian App
RAVE Guardian is a free app for the Truman State community that provides a direct connection to Truman State police and other resources so that everyone can easily communicate all their safety needs.
RAVE Guardian App Features
- One-click emergency dial to 9-1-1
- “Safe Walk” virtual campus safety escort
Set a virtual safety timer and share with friend and family, or an Official Guardian. Includes the option to give helpful information such as where you are going and stops you may make. - Two-way text communication with campus police
Share information and safety concerns with Truman State University police via chat with the option to stay anonymous. - Call directory with campus resources
Place a direct call to campus resources and support services with the option to share your location with safety officials during the call. - Campus alerts and updates
Receive alerts based on your location, even when you don’t have a cell signal.
RAVEGuardian is an integrated feature of TruAlert, the University’s emergency notification system. The phone numbers added by Truman State community members to receive text/call alerts will appear in the Guardian app, but to modify or change these numbers, users must log in to portal.truman.edu and update their emergency text messaging information.
How To Download/Register RAVE Guardian App
The RAVE Guardian app is free for all members of the university community to download.
- Download the app from iTunes or Google Play (search for “Rave Guardian” with the blue shield icon).
- Fill in your name and contact information.
- Select “Truman State University” as your school.
